Jacques Thibaud Ensemble

The Jacques Thibaud Ensemble is a collaboration between the Dutch flutist Eleonore Pameijer, the Romanian pianist Andrei Banciu and  the Jacques Thibaud Trio from Berlin. Following several years of successful performances on international podiums, these well-known musicians decided to form a permanent ensemble.
The goal of the ensemble is to regularly present the best of the well-known chamber music literature next to lesser-known and forgotten masterpieces from the past and the present.

The  formation of the ensemble creates endless musical possibilities that, in carefully chosen programs, extend from solo works to large ensemble.
Contemporary works, with the ensemble working intensely with the composer, will often compliment the classical programs. Another point of concentration will be works by those composers who were persecuted during the Second World War and never received the attention of the musical world they, because of their talent, rightfully deserved.
The founders of the ensemble, Eleonore Pameijer, Burkhard Maiß, Bogdan Jianu and Andrei Banciu have all established their reputations through successful performances throughout Europe, Asia, Scandinavia, South America, the United States and Canada. They could be heard in such famous venues as the Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall, the Concertgebouw, the Mozarteum, Maison de Radio France and the Berlin Philharmonie.

As inspiration, the musicians have chosen the name of the French violinist Jacques Thibaud, who, beside his career as soloist was a world-famous chamber musician who next to traditional works, premiered many new and unknown compositions. He performed, for example, the now famous works of Debussy and Szymanovsky, working closely together with the composers.

The Jacques Thibaud Ensemble looks forward to carrying on this tradition and enriching the musical world with exceptional programs performed at the highest level.
